How can it be?

The element is clearly the same, you didnt do anything to make it different than all others, not even a slight different in the element, it is perfectly exact the same.

So do you really think that just because you change the company name and small things like color, font etc., it makes it different? It's all the same, every company which include this element in their logo, it's all the same buddy. And that makes it copying imo.

I havent said that you did it on purpose, but it is copying, no matter what reason you have to make the logo.

No need to discuss, I stated my point, though you clearly dont get it. Kinda shocked, but hey, what can I do.

Thank you for your comment Infer,

I think I was very clear about it in my first answer.
ALL ELEMENTS in the logotype are unified and communicate the message clearly.
I did not copy it and as such it DOES NOT EXIST elsewhere.
And by insulting me you speak about yourself.
For me further discussion has no point.

As I said (and this is the only thing I meant by mentioning it),

I would never pick a logo that was already (in this case) seen in alot of company's. How is that a good logo? It isnt unique at all, and for me it lost every value it had by existing by so many other company's. It can look good as a logo, but the value behind it? Zero.

And you shouldnt be satisfied by doing something like this as a designer, create something unique, something new. Or at least try to. If every designer in the world kept copying logotypes that were already made, how would that be?

Again, this is only my thoughts on this. I dont know you and what you think. You do sound like a clever designer though, so why dont you try to make a clever logo instead of something that is already made and seen in alot of company's.

I still dont know how any company would want a logo that is already seen before (alot in this case), but I'm not the guys from Eurostores.

Dear Infer and Nitnelav,

Of course the icon/symbol of power exists elsewhere, because it is a symbol commonly used in graphic design and graphic communications.

My entry is a logotype not a single icon/symbol.
It is the way we use and implement symbols in a logo so it communicates in a best way.

It is the same with symbols commonly known like: thunderstorm/lightning symbol, heart symbol, peace symbol, e.mail monkey ....etc.

Here are links of AIGA just for proof of what I am talking about here.
If I may also add the power symbol found here (which is free of charge, and public domain) is not even exactly the same as the one I used in my logotype.
http://www.aiga.org/symbol-signs/
http://thenounproject.com/noun/power/

Kind regards,
MV

Hello mv,

Did you know that Exelon have the same icon/logo as your idea? You might wanna look it up as it is pretty much the same concept.

(The company Exelon is also energy based, though they provide energy services.)

I just wanted to mention it, since my thoughts are no-go with an already existing logo/concept, the unique part of the logo just flows away. No offense of course, keep your work up.
