Dear designers,

As the administrator writes, we haven't been able to pick a winner amongst all the creative designs. The reason why we created the competition was to find a logo and visual identity for our new company, that would be a big part of our brand for the years to come. This identity is extremely important to us, and we have taken this competition very serious, as have many of you, and we thank you for that. On that note, we hope that you'll understand the importance of this identity and that it is something we must relate to. Not just a great looking design, which there have been many of in this competition, but one that speaks to us on higher level.

This happened to us in our last competition, which is why we wanted to see if we were just as lucky this time, with an even more difficult task.

We understand your frustration when we rate your design as red, but as we mentioned before, this has nothing to do with the quality of you work, but the mere fact that the design didn't speak to our highly subjective understanding of what associations an Urban Embassy design should generate.

We thank you all for your time and effort, and thanks to Astada for creating this community. This won't be the last time we'll use Astada for designs. We have a lot more iPhone applications coming up, and we see no reason why not to use Astada for these designs.

Well i don't think we will have a winner in this contest. The first one with no prize awarded, a very sad day. But it needed to happen at some point since we don't charge upfront.

But hay 5375$ has been paid and only 150$ has not been paid.

I want to let you know if this becomes a regular problem we will add prepayment of all contests.

Yeah Ortoko i think are right here. It sems like they dont know what they want, and cant really decide either. There is no panic artmaker, just a little iritation over the lack of feedback (in this contest ;O))

the administrator is right, feedbacks are ok but not usefull to anyone,
i think that the client dont now what he really want.

Dear designers,

We hear your critic and apologise for not being instant with feedback. We can see why it is frustrating not to get in depth feedback on your design, when you have spend time on creating them and we merely rate them red. When we write that we appreciate your contributions, we really mean it. However, currently we have had 56 logos to review. This is a lot, and therefore we focus our time on those we find really good. An indication to see valuable feedback would be to look at those who have got better feedback than you and notice what they have done.

It is important to us, that the logo spurs from your creativity and not our failed perception of what is creative and eye catching - however we do have some imagination of what constitutes a logo that we want - thanks to the contributions from among others - Sepra4Life, Ejsing and Garo.

We would like the logo to include:
- 1 icon / symbol symbolising Urban Embassy, which you made - made using your vector skills in illustrator or something similar - No stock imagery.
- Urban embassy, written with a nice, clean font - that would look good - both on print and web.
- Colors. Choose colors that match and looks looks good - web 2.0 stylish if you like.

We do not want the logo to include:
- Flashy stock imagery, pictures, stuff that we are not allowed to use in commercial logo.
- Font that will have a poor readability on web and print.
- Colours that don't match or belong to the 90's.

In summary:
Please submit 1 well thought, well drawn, well designed, creative logo, rather than many, fast quickly made logos. We would much rather want 1 good logo submission rather than 5 half good submission.

dear Urban Embassy, any chance of some constructive feedback? Theres quite a few designs here, could you possibly suggest some elements you like from each (e.g color, typeface, Caps or not, seriff, sans seriff, 3D etc....) to help in the design process??
