Summary![]() ![]() I need a logo for my webdesign company PurpleCow. The meaning of the name is taken from Seth Godins book. Purple cow means "something remarkable, eye-catching, unusual".
Theres not necessarily needs be a cow in the logo as it may seem too "easy". We want a modern, fresh, playful logo that get the company to present itself as a modern company, but not too boring and serious. It is important that it is a unique logo and not based on a free font from dafont. The logo will be used for web and print, so it is important that the logo is supplied as vector. Logos we like: http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/79715 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/80185 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/67055 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/81677 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/81407 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/79345 http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/77974 The new webdesign: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/763775/PurpleCow-designet_frontpage.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/763775/PurpleCow-designet_productsoverview.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/763775/PurpleCow-designet_products.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/763775/PurpleCow-designet_cases.jpg http://dl.dropbox.com/u/763775/PurpleCow-designet_case.jpg |

![]() Thank you for your comment. I agree in that we have not given much feedback on the logos, but the entries are far from what we need, that it was not worth spending time for us to provide feedback on. The only proposal which lies just near what we have described in our long description, is yours. Now we have decided to hire a logo designer from our own country, so communication will not be misunderstood.

![]() Did you ever come to think that the lack of your feedback contributed to the failure of this contest, and not the quality of some of the work presented here? I'm sure there are a few designers besides me that are very displeased by the line just wrote about "hiring a professional logo designer". Who do you even consider a professional designer? And what makes you think that there aren't professional designers that participated here? In any case, I'm sure he will do a much better job, since it's much easier having an established COMMUNICATION with the client (we don't have a crystal ball, at least not all of us). Regards

![]() Just wanted to say that i think you logo is awesome and very much creative.
![]() Perhaps you have not read the complete brief, but it says "It is important that it is a unique logo and not based on a free font from dafont.." As far as I can see, you are all using free fonts for the logo.

I don't mind you closing the contest and not declaring a winner, it just happens.
And I agree, you should hire a designer that speaks the same language as yours.
But does that (speaking the same language) make him a professional? Because that's the part that caused my reaction, you could just kept your fingers of the keyboard like you did as long as the contest was running, instead of (literally) stating that there are no professional designers here.
I know that you would feel upset too if I was a client of yours and after receiving a proposal from you (just because I didn't imagine it like that) said that I can't use your work, and will hire a professional at this line of work to do the job.
And for the future reference, don't handle you're selves like people that don't have a few minutes each day just to say a couple of words like: "Thank you, but unfortunately this ain't working for us." to someone who worked on a proposal for a few hours, because that's just bad business.
Hope you see the point in all of this.
Regards
