It looks like what is trying to be said is if a logo can be protected from imitations once it is made. Good question. I guess you can. Actually I am sure you can but not sure about the procedure. After all ,people selling logos get theirs copyrighted all the time.

It looks like there are several websites than can help you obtain copyrights for your logo, simply do a google search for "how to get logo copyrighted" good luck!

this is a very good question!
online copyright fraud is much more common than offline copyright fraud.

it is very easy for someone to steal your work, make some small changes to it, and then save it as a "NEW" document.

You should register your work the same way you are registering your paper work that needs copyright, and also include copyright messages on the website where you are publishing the logo.

I am not sure that copyrighting is the way to go. I believe a logo needs to be trademarked. Of course, you can do both. The Library of Congress handles copyrights (under $30 - simply file and application) and the Trademark office handles trademarks (much more expensive - $300 and a more complex application process)

if you are referring to visible trademarking, I don't know if anybody would want to pay for a logo where trademarking is visible

maybe an invisible trademard
