Does anyone think that those old print shops are around anymore? Those shops you would go to in town , and then you would tell them what you need, and they would go ahead and make it for you and it cost a ton of money..

I am sure these are obsolete now, as it is easy to do it from home, there is a shop in my town though that does do prints.

I don't think those shops are still around. I guess they would have been closed down due to lack of customers.

Most print shops I know are not really solely print shops rather they incorporate printing in their business as a side revenue. Like I have a photo place in town that also will do print jobs.

We still ahve one here in Jefferson city. they do all kind sof printinga nd theer are two in KNoxville that print EVERYTHING.
they have ben around at least since the 1920s.

its a matter of really looking in teh phone book rather than online fo rthem. and tehy are very much worth the money. Often they can do things that no one else can.

We have several print shops in my town as well. One of which I use for making oversized color prints of my artwork, and another I use for making coffee-table photo books of my work, photo prints, and whatnot.

We had a devoted print shop here until about two years ago. Now it is one of those companies that does other things but offers the print jobs as a added service. I was sad to see it get incorporated like that.

Of course, there are still printing shops around but their business did not only focus on printing. The shops are also selling printing machines and gadgets. My friend is an owner of printing shops in town at the same time she sells different brands of digital cameras.

I don't think they're obsolete 100%, yeah they're not as popular but they're still useful. However, as others have pointed out, they generally offer more services now, some even print t-shirts as well which seems to be more profitable now and still in high demand.

There are still printing shops. I see them once in a while. Only these shops have lessened because of the existence of affordable home printers and online printing services that can do different kinds of materials.
