Ignoring flash
Most web browsers now have popular extensions that prevent immediate Flash playback, and allow the user to either ignore the Flash on a web page, or to play it by clicking on it.

I have to say that is a good thing. Some flash designs are cool to look at but when they catch you by surprise they loose some of their luster

Ignoring flash
There are flash designs that are appealing therefore you cant resist clicking on them though they are sometimes irrelevant with what you're working on. Flash aren't really nuisance, as there are browsers who rely on them to lead them anywhere. Some however simply ignore them.

That is true. Firefox I believe does that and I am not sure about other browsers. In fact I would like to click the flash part of it to see.
