I was thinking about purchasing a Web Design for Dummies book because I would like to learn how to build an interactive web site that other people can sign up and log in to leave comments. Are those for dummies book really helpful, or are they still hard to understand? Also, does anyone know of any online courses to teach web site building skills on a certificate level? I'm not trying to get a degree in Web Design.

I have read part of the Ebay For Dummies e-book and I found it not hard to understand. I think the same thing can be said for this one. As for obtaining an online certificate, there are plenty but then they don't come for free.

I purchased HTML for dummies years ago and thought it was wonderful. It took me through, stage by stage, and I was very happy with it. That's the only one I've purchased though,

I bought Drums for Dummies years ago and it was great. It really broke stuff down well enough that I could understand it even though I didn't know the slightest thing about learning how to play the drums. That book taught me a lot!

If you are well trained in the art then you can build cool web pages with buttons, photos, animation and much more. Any website for that matter without graphics is like food without salt.
