I am of the opinion that photography is an expensive hobby. It is a fascinating hobby but the accessories are a bit expensive. Any comments?

It depends. Digital photography doesn't have to cost a thing once you have a camera and a media card. After that, you can just upload your photos and tinker to your hearts delight.

I think the most important and obviously expensive thing is the digital camera.
Of course if you want to take photos of beautiful places you would have to travel a lot too:)

It doesn't have to be an expensive hobby. I know quite a few people who use a $300 digital camera to meet their needs. With out all the accessories and toys they just have to think up creative ways to use lighting, shadow and things like that. But the truth is that it is an addicting hobby and you might just want all the accessories. Then it certainly is an expensive hobby!

Photography is one of the coolest hobby for me. If you have skills and talent in this field there's no need for you to buy expensive tools and gadgets. I know someone who's using simple Canon digital camera but her photo shoots are really great. The outcome of your works does not only depends on the equipments used but also from your own will and enthusiasm.

If you're striving for professional photos then you will have to invest in some pricey equipment but if it's just for pure leisure, a simple less than $300 digital camera will do. So I think it depends on what particular approach you're taking to the hobby.
