Can you tell me how much a wordpress blog costs? I could find that many wordpress themes are available for free download too.

I think a Wordpress Blog is free. Wordpress.org you will need a web hosting company, but Wordpress.com is available online...you don't need a web hosting company.

If you are talking about wordpress themes then some of them are indeed free. Those special themes called premium themes are the ones that are really needed if you are serious about blogging and the cost depends on design of the theme.

I can not think of any site that sells wordpress unless you are talking about addons which could cost if they are custom made. Right now my wordpress is off until I finish setting up a few things that I have been working on, but I have never seen a charge for one.

I'm with the others. I've never seen a charge for anything related to WP. Is there a market out there where you can create a WP background and sell it? Maybe. But I know there are a lot of freebies already.

WordPress itself is free but if you can't install or configure it yourself you can use their free hosted blog service. If that's not a good option then you can probably pay someone to do it for you, as for the themes, most are free but there are some paid ones typically called "premium themes" and are often worth it if you're not a good designer or don't like the free ones.
