I think to get a really good design it is very important to know the less is more theory. It isn't necessary how many layers of artistic layers you put in that makes something good. Sometimes in leaving things out you make a creative point as well. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

I agree, I think there is a time and a place for busy work but I think less is more is a great theory. Sometimes subtleties in the design can actually have subconscious effects on people and can be very stimulating as you come to grasp them.

One great thing about simple designs is that one can use little details that make big impact. Moreover, the subtle colors and patterns become the asset of an art piece.
