Where can you look for best logo design resources? Do you make your own logos? Or have someone make for you?

Ofcauses we make them our selves, this is a design forum you know ;)

I like to check out logopond.com to get some insipration when i don't know how i want the clients logo to look like. Ofcause i don't copy others but inspiration at logopond.com is great?

I have made 3-4 logos so far for two of the websites I am working on.
I still have a lot to learn.
That is what I am here for :)

I am not that much professional in creating my own logos. But i will get the help of my friends in this. And sometimes i also hire professional designers and i pay them. The best resource will be to google the keyword. You can find anything that you want.

Okay, I guess I'm strange. I get ideas from almost everywhere. And usually I can almost feel the logo when the customer is talking to me. I get a sense of how they see their company and go from there. If they think of themselves as the next great manufacturer of snowboards, that says tons to me of where to head with their logo.

Of course you need to take as much direction as possible from your clients, but if you are very creative you can drw inspiration from any where.

I'm not good with designing anything so I usually look for someone to design logos for me. I also like to incorporate the name of the business in my logos somewhere.

I'm not that good at logo making either, usually a buddy can do it for me , because the friends of mine that I do open sites with are good at photoshop, I am more of a " Chief of Staff " kind of guy on forums/sites, I usually handle staff/member matters, not the technical stuff.

I am not good at designing logo's.Its a difficult and time consuming jobs.Further our work will never be equal to that of a professional.

I can design them, but my problem is I do not know how to actually think of a good idea for a logo :P

Creating good design should begin with your client. As designer you need to know first what your client wants and integrate this with the product. There are also various websites you can visit to gain some insights and inspirations.

I wish the forum had the capability to post images. Then we could share samples of things we've done, like logos and more.

Oh well....

When you're designing a new logo for a site, what things do you consider? Color or image? What's the best way to look at logo creation when you're a complete noobie?
