Video Camera?
This is kind of off the photography topic but not at the same time. What kind of digital video camera is the best to get? I see ones that have built in hard drives, some that take little dvd's, and some that use SD cards. What are the advantages / disadvantages of the different kinds? I'm in the market for one and have no idea on this.

You can't go wrong without any kind of Canon camera, Kodak is good too, you really only need a USB hookup.

In my guess video camera using hard drives are the best as well as the expensive one. However it also depends upon the money you would like to spend on it.

I'm looking at spending in the neighborhood of $500-$750. What camera would you suggest I buy in that price range?

I personally would stay away from the ones that take little dvd's. I had two this way and soonor or later they both ended up eating up the tape and getting stuck.

That is a good question, also will most video cameras give you the option to purchase extra external memory? I have been telling myself to get a video camera back when the huge one's where almost obsolete. I still have yet to buy one.

Go for a branded camcorder, for e.g. Sony, Olympus, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic and etc. You can just review through some photography websites to get an idea about camcorder and a good camcorder will get you more pleasure than a disappointment.
